Updated May 2024. This comprehensive resource encompasses 476 fish species commonly encountered by scuba divers and snorkelers in Oman and the UAE. The interface allows users to browse species by flipping through screens akin to turning pages, or to quickly locate a fish based on color or shape attributes. Each species entry features up to five photographs, including images of juveniles, males, females, and various color morphs. Users can also add species to a personalized Log Book for future reference. An integrated flashcard-style quiz offers a valuable tool for enhancing fish identification skills.

Coverage includes the Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Oman, and Arabian Sea regions.

This application was developed by Richard Field, author of Reef Fishes of Oman, with the interface designed by John Hoover, author of The Ultimate Guide to Hawaii's Reef Fishes. Both authors' works are available on Amazon for further reference.
